Style Chanllenge

Jacket: BCBG (6 or more years ago via Parisian, similar here)  /  Tank:  Old Navy (old, but buy it here)  /  Skirt:  BCBG (old, similar here)  /  Belt: BCBG (old) /  Shoes:  Steve Madden via TJ Maxx (old)

Did you catch a theme there???  Everything is old, old, old.  But it’s new again!  The lovely Sarah of Sarah’s Real Life came up with a fantastic challenge for bloggers to do a current trends post, but here is the kicker:  everything has to be at least three years old!  That’s right, fashion is always recycling and if you just hang on to those bell bottoms, they will be in style again, someday.  I love a challenge, especially when it involves clothes, so here I give you my “old” take on the current peplum trend.  I love this jacket and thanks to this challenge, I will be sporting it more  often.  I forgot it was sitting in the back of my closet, oops!  This is from my days as a manager at Parisian, maybe six plus years ago.  Also, my high-wasted, pencil(ish) skirt which is three years old.  I bought this for my bachelorette party, holla!   Thanks for the push Sarah!  Check out her awesome look here🙂

TIP:  I highly recommend trying this challenge yourself, it’s quite fun and a bit like shopping in your own closet!

    • I know! So glad I kept all of these pieces! I can’t tell you how many times I have given things away only to wish I kept them. But not today:) thanks for all of your love and support, you are very sweet! Xo

  1. OT, but I so miss Parisian. Not sure if it is because that’s where my Mom and I primarily shopped as I was growing up, but I have very fond memories of that place. Belk, not so much.

    Great outfit, and perfect challenge!

    • Awww! I’m so glad you said that! Me too:) Parisian was a very classy place to shop IMO. A little something for everyone. I had some really good times working there with some amazing people, but I’m not gonna lie, retail is tough. Thank you for your kind words, I truly appreciate it! xoxo
