I know what you are probably thinking…bare legs in the middle of December?  But it was almost 70 degrees when I took these pictures, I was actually a little toasty in my sweater.  It might as well be Christmas in July and I like it that way!   My bubble is about to burst though, a cold front is coming as I am writing this.  And the end of the world is near, so they say.  On the bright side of the Apocalypse  I won’t have to pay off my J.Crew card! Wahoo!!!  I’m gonna go out in style with this sequin skirt and partay for a good friend (see her here) who is turning the dirty thirty! Happy Birthday Ali!  My transition from day-to-night is complete with a fitted jacket, bright bag and a perfect pump.  They are great figure flattering pieces that are eye-catching as well.    What do you plan on doing and wearing  for “last day of the world?”

P.S. Thank you so much for reading and for the support!  Hope you have a great weekend!

The holidays are upon us, tis the season to be merry and go to parties!  While everyone usually opts for dresses, I like to dare to be different and wear pants.  Obviously, they are a warmer option and allow for more fluid, freestyle movements.  You never know when you might hear Matthew Wilder’s “Break My Stride” and want to break out in a sick solo dance routine at a party.  Just sayin’.  Food for thought:  this also happens to be my go to karaoke song.  Oh yeah, it’s impressive.  Anywho, today I give you my version of taking a day look into night by changing a few pieces.  Switching out the jeans for leather pants and adding a punchy red shoe alter the look for nighttime.  You could switch the blazer for a sequin cardi, if you have one.  Don’t forget to add a bright red lip and some sparkly jewels to complete your look!  Thanks a ton to the ever brilliant and gorgeous Samantha at Sam ipsa Loquitur and her Plaid Leopard Lumberbiker post for being the inspiration behind this look!

TIP:  Don’t have time for a complete outfit change for a party?  Pops of red can help change your look!  Add red lips, shoes or a bag.  Even all the above! Keeping extra jewels, like a necklace or arm candies, in your purse comes in handy  too:)

Sweater: Target  /  Jeans: Target  /  Shoes: Target  /  Bag: Calvin Klein via TJ Maxx (similar here)  /  Scarf: J.Crew (old, similar here) /  Jewelry: Banana Republic ring (old), Gems & Jam earrings via Sarah’s Real Life   /  Polish:  Chanel in Peridot (similar here)

Who knew stud earrings could be so awesome?  Gems & Jam, that’s who!  Thanks to the lovely Sarah of Sarah’s Real Life for hosting the Gems & Jam giveaway, I was able to win this killer pair you see here.  I love how big they are without being dangle(y).  I’m pretty sure they are visible from the moon and I like them that way.  Another thing I like big these days are my sweaters (this one from Target is like being wrapped in a blanket, love it).  When I saw this post, I was smitten and had to re-create it.  Thank you Target for providing me with all the essentials and never letting me leave your store empty-handed.  Actually, they should be thanking me.   I will look for my thank you note from Target in the mail…

TIP:  Buy chunky knits in a size or two larger for extra comfort, length and to pair perfectly with skinny jeans.

BONUS TIP:  Omega 3 (fish oil) and Biotin really do a body and head of hair good!  I’ve been taking these supplements for a couple of months and I think it’s helping with fullness and growth.  Wahoo!
