This gorgeous face probably looks familiar because you have seen it here and here.  Not to date myself, but Lauren and I have known each other for 18 years!  Sounds like forever, right?  We’ve seen each other through some pretty interesting wardrobe phases too.  The awkward teenage phase, the skater girl phase, the hippy dippy (coconut) phase and now we are into “adulthood” phase.  “Adulthood” phase, while more attractive in appearance is far less fun to be in sometimes I have to say.  The skater girls had way more fun, but they would never wear something as stylish as Ms. Lauren is wearing today.  I am loving her spring dress layered into the winter with skinny jeans, booties and a blazer!  Wurk it gurl:)

Say hello to my new favorite hairstyle courtesy of the always fashionable and adorable Blondie, Esquire.  See her original post here.  I’m in the process of growing my hair back out after I was the victim of a scissor happy stylist, so up-dos are my go-to hairdo.  Pardon the frizz, it was 90% humidity and no amount of product is going to help you when that happens; otherwise, it’s a very cute hairstyle and I will be sporting it often until I have hair to my butt (aka 2016).  In the meantime, does it look like I grew an inch or two?  Wearing monotone outfits are supposed to create length.  Maybe I should have added a green heel, but it felt like a flat day.  I guess if you are going to wear flats, it’s a good idea to wear something else that makes you look taller, unless you are already tall.  Captain obvious says…

P.S.  Happy Thursday everyone!  I don’t think we get told that enough.  It’s almost Friday, which means it’s almost the weekend.  Wahoo!

There’s only so much time left for me to wear my mullet suits until it is too cold, so I’m doing as many versions of them as I can.  Soon, the business on top and party on bottom will be replaced by business only attire, oh the cold!  I’m not a cold weather person at all.  In fact, 65 degrees is about as cold as I like to go.  You know that commercial for seasonal depression where the woman lies on the couch in her robe until the following spring while it flashes forwarded to everyone else cheerfully going about their lives through fall and winter?  Yeah, that’s me. Thankfully, I live in the South, so I can’t complain too much compared to my relatives up north where it can be 30 degrees and below.  For now, I’m basking in the sun and enjoying my mullet suits.  See my last version here.  What items are you trying to get use out of before fall/winter?

TIP:  Adding a different shoe will completely change this look.  Flats and sandals keep it casual, while a heel will dress this look up for night-time dinner/drinks.
