Day to Night: Sequin Skirt

Day Look – Sweater: Gap  /  Chambray Shirt:  J.Crew  /  Skirt: H&M (similar here)  /  Boots: Naughty Monkey  /  Bag: Mango (Like this one)  /  Necklace: J.Crew (old, similar here)

Night Look – Jacket: Zara (similar here)  /  Shirt: Saint James via J.Crew  /  Skirt: H&M (similar here)  /  Shoes:  Steve Madden via TJ Maxx (similar here)  /  Clutch: J.Crew (similar here)   /  Necklace: J.Crew (similar here)

I know what you are probably thinking…bare legs in the middle of December?  But it was almost 70 degrees when I took these pictures, I was actually a little toasty in my sweater.  It might as well be Christmas in July and I like it that way!   My bubble is about to burst though, a cold front is coming as I am writing this.  And the end of the world is near, so they say.  On the bright side of the Apocalypse  I won’t have to pay off my J.Crew card! Wahoo!!!  I’m gonna go out in style with this sequin skirt and partay for a good friend (see her here) who is turning the dirty thirty! Happy Birthday Ali!  My transition from day-to-night is complete with a fitted jacket, bright bag and a perfect pump.  They are great figure flattering pieces that are eye-catching as well.    What do you plan on doing and wearing  for “last day of the world?”

P.S. Thank you so much for reading and for the support!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Sweater: Target  /  Jeans: Target  /  Shoes: Target  /  Bag: Calvin Klein via TJ Maxx (similar here)  /  Scarf: J.Crew (old, similar here) /  Jewelry: Banana Republic ring (old), Gems & Jam earrings via Sarah’s Real Life   /  Polish:  Chanel in Peridot (similar here)

Who knew stud earrings could be so awesome?  Gems & Jam, that’s who!  Thanks to the lovely Sarah of Sarah’s Real Life for hosting the Gems & Jam giveaway, I was able to win this killer pair you see here.  I love how big they are without being dangle(y).  I’m pretty sure they are visible from the moon and I like them that way.  Another thing I like big these days are my sweaters (this one from Target is like being wrapped in a blanket, love it).  When I saw this post, I was smitten and had to re-create it.  Thank you Target for providing me with all the essentials and never letting me leave your store empty-handed.  Actually, they should be thanking me.   I will look for my thank you note from Target in the mail…

TIP:  Buy chunky knits in a size or two larger for extra comfort, length and to pair perfectly with skinny jeans.

BONUS TIP:  Omega 3 (fish oil) and Biotin really do a body and head of hair good!  I’ve been taking these supplements for a couple of months and I think it’s helping with fullness and growth.  Wahoo!

Sequin rhino sweatshirt

This is really the best of both worlds.  Now we can look put together with minimal effort by sporting active wear that has been bedazzled!  This glamorized sweatshirt says “I care just enough to get dressed today AND have cleverly placed sequins on so you don’t notice my five-day in a row worn jeans.”   Don’t act like you don’t do it either; thank you inventor of Febreze.  These adorable cozy knits are cousins to the cuddly critter sweaters that are all the rave.  How will you be keeping warm, sparkly knits or cuddly critters?

P.S. Hope Everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!
