About

Hi, I’m Kristi and welcome to my fashion journal! The main reason I started this blog was to have a healthy outlet for my not so healthy obsession with clothes.  It’s also inappropriate to change 5 times a day, unless you perform on broadway, so this is my way of proudly displaying all those outfit ideas without hesitation or strange looks:) Hope you enjoy!

As for my credentials, I’m a fashion merchandising major from the University of Georgia. Upon graduating I worked as a manager for a department store called Parisian (formerly owned by SAKS then bought by Belk).  After a few years, I decided to completely change paths and become a massage therapist. No correlation, I know, I just wanted to help people feel better!  But you can’t wear heels and massage at the same time (well you can, but that’s not the kind of massaging I do), so this has become my place to wear my “fun outfits”.

Now for the other loves of my life, which follow in no particular order.  I’m married to a guy named Tyler, who I find endlessly funny and inspirational. We have one cat, named biscuit of course! We also have two dogs; a mutt and a puggle.  I also enjoy drawing, painting, reading, exercising and spending time with family. My loved ones would probably have me include a love for cleaning as I tend to be a bit OCD and love the smell of bleach, tmi? Ok, onto the clothes….

But first, some legal jargon:

Unless otherwise noted, I own the copyright to all photos and text contained in this blog. So please do not re-publish it as if it were your own. If you would like to “borrow” any images, please make sure you credit me and link back to the original source. When in doubt, just ask me. My e-mail is under the “Contact” tab.

But please feel free to share my blog with your friends by linking them to biscuitsandnavy.wordpress.com, or to an individual post, through Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. The more the merrier!

Also, people may want to know where they can purchase something I’m wearing. I try my best (when I have time) to link you to retailers where you can order anything to everything I’m wearing in that post (or to something similar). Sometimes, I may do a sponsored post, but rest assured that I will always give you my honest opinion and that all reviews will always be my own.  I will clearly note when any products featured on my blog were given to me by the retailer/brand.
