The lovely Elissa from Professionally Petite tagged me for the “five things” post which is making it’s way around the blogoshpere.  Good thing she did because now I have some reading material for you;)

1. Speaking of reading, I’m currently on the second installment of the Fifty Shades trilogy.  Don’t hate me, but I find it dreadful.  I’m halfway through and it’s like I’m training for a reading marathon forcing myself to finish.  Not the worst thing in the world, but certainly not the best thing. Ken Follet is one of my faves.  I really love historical fiction.  I’m reading the Alchemist next. (Technically, I think I just said four things about myself here)

2. I shaved half my head underneath in middle school and dyed it red.  I was soooo cool.

3.  If it’s not obvious by now, I am seriously into “grunge” music (product of growing up in the 90’s).  I love Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soundgarden etc.  Super excited to find this shirt at F21!

4. I once ate escargot and did NOT like it.

5. Survivor is my favorite show and I think it would be awesome to be an actual player, but extremely intimidating at the same time.

Tagging these five pretties:  Sarah’s Real Life, The Lipstick Giraffe, Amy’s Vintage Closet, Pigtails and Pearls and Two Wheelers

Look 2: Shirt: Old Navy (old)  /  Skirt: eShakti (similar style here)  /  Shoes: Target  /  Bag: Mango (similar here)  /  Sunnies:  Anthropologie  /  Earrings:  Gems&Jam

I don’t know about you, but I am ready for warm weather so I can wear fun skirts and dresses!  Spring cannot get here fast enough, especially since I had the chance to review eShakti’s spring collection.  If you are unfamiliar with this online  clothing company, check out my last review here.  Basically, eShakti is perfect for women of all shapes and sizes since they will customize any piece to your specific measurements.  You can even alter necklines and sleeve types to fit your liking.  Needless to say, I always have a hard time choosing just one piece.  I decided to order a dress, but also a skirt because I wanted to see if sample pieces given to bloggers were treated differently (i.e. quicker shipping).  I actually ordered my skirt a day later and it arrived on the same day as my sample piece, so no preferential treatment here.  Just a perfect fit!

Jacket:  J.Crew (similar  here)  /  Shirt:  J.Crew  /  Pants: Ann Taylor  /  Shoes:  Steve Madden via TJ Maxx  /  Bag: Calvin Klien via TJ Maxx  /  Sunnies:  TJ Maxx  /  Earrings: Forever21

I should have named my blog “Biscuits & Bargains!”  Besides my Jacket (which was a Christmas present, so that doesn’t really count)  and my purse (which was still a good deal), everything else was $20 bucks and under. New too.  I bought this J.Crew shirt decades ago for cents on the dollar during the times when you could actually get a REALLY good deal there.  The shoes were 20 bucks from TJ Maxx.  For some reason, unless they are Manolos (which I do not own), I have a hard time paying more than 30 bucks for shoes.  I don’t know why;  guess it is because I’m cheap.  The pants I found for 14 dollars at Ann Taylor.  So what if I had sale goggles on? And the earrings were a whopping $2.99 from F21.  Moral of the story: it pays to be cheap.
